Cape Cod

Oh my gosh!  Last month we got to visit Cape Cod and you would not believe the flowers there.  So beautiful.  I took a lot of pictures of them too.  A girl can never have enough pictures of flowers, right?  My son even made a comment the other day when we were walking and I had to stop to take a picture of some flowers.  He said, “Women really love flowers….maybe that is because they are flowers.”  Yes, we are delicate flowers and don’t forget that…EVER!  He definitely listens to everything his dad tells him.  It was a moment to cherish.

Here is my layout I created with one of the many beautiful photographs I took while in Cape Cod.

Have a beautiful and positive day!

Hello my friends and family!

As you have probably noticed, I have been away from my blog and my digital scrapbooking for quite a while.  Back in March, I was given the opportunity to join a study group at work to prepare myself for an exam that a person is required to take to in order to obtain their CHDS (Certified Healthcare Documentation Specialist) certificate.  Thankfully, all that hard work paid off and I passed my exam on July 10!  YAY!

It was truly not an easy task!  I really thought I was only going to have to put in a couple hours each day of studying but that wasn’t the case at all.  I spent any free time I had studying, and I am not exaggerating on that at all.  The studies were very intense but that made the end result all that much more special.  There are many changes going on in my career as a Healthcare Documentation Specialist, so it was very important for me to obtain my credentials.  I truly love what I do and will do anything to further myself in my career.

There was a lot of prayer going on during this time and it got me thinking that when I get back into digital scrapbooking, I would really like to use that platform to do some faith journaling.  There are so many great bible passages out there and what a great way to reflect on them and express how they relate to my, and maybe even your, life.

I did my first page yesterday utilizing Jeremiah 29:11.  With all I have gone through so far in my career, especially going through two layoffs, this passage really helps to put things into perspective.

I am also trying to dabble into some designing for digital scrapbooking, and I used a kit that I am currently working on for this layout.  After I have created a few kits, I am hoping to open up a store in Etsy.  I am having so much fun with designing.  It is a great way to release yourself from everyday tasks.

Like I said above, I passed my exam on July 10 and then my family and I went on a much needed vacation to Boston.  Once I got back, I started scrapbooking again for all the wonderful teams that I am on for some amazing designers.  I will be sharing some of those creations soon in future posts.

I have missed scrapbooking, designing, and blogging so much and am so happy to be back!!

I hope you all have a wonderful day/week!  I had to work this weekend so I am off today! Woot woot!!!

A Cold Day

It’s a bit chilly here in South Florida today.  I didn’t go on my walk the last couple of days because it was just too chilly for me but I just could not take it anymore so decided to bundle up and go for a little walk.  It felt like Fall in the Midwest.  Once I got moving it wasn’t too bad.

Have a few layouts to share with you today….

First one:

The flowers in South Florida are always so gorgeous, and I have a tendency to want to take pictures of them all the time.

Second One:

I have seen two alligators now since moving down here, both part of shows.  I have never seen one out roaming around, unsupervised, thankfully! LOL!

Third One:

This is an awesome picture of my parents when they were here last month for a visit.  It was so nice to have them here, and we  look forward to their visit every year!

Kit used is A Birthday to Remember Kit by Love It Scrap It Designs.

Last but not least:

These are pictures from New Years Day this year.  I love having family around for holidays and this was extra special because our niece from Haiti was here and we also got to celebrate Haitian Independence Day with Pumpkin Soup.  Yummy!

Template used is 57 Chevies by The Cherry On Top.  It is freebie template for a challenge she is having on her FB page right now.  Check it out and, if you join in, you may win the rest of her great templates in this set.

Well, that is all I got for today.  Now, I am going to try to warm up a little…..I really want the warm weather to come back soon so I can put my shorts, tank, and flip-flops back on!

Have a Blessed Day,
